Finished Basement

Custom English Pub  

This finished basement was the first interior project completed by Archway Custom Homes. Based off travels across Europe, the homeowner wanted the focal point of the basement to be a custom built bar modeled to what could be found in an English pub. The other desires of the homeowner was to have a wine cellar and movie theater with a projector & large screen. In the large open room in the partially finished basement, a six-seat movie theater with a step-up and surround sound system was built on the left side of the room. This allowed for the common space and bar to utilize  the other two-thirds of the space. The bar was hand built based off designs and pictures taken from pubs located around England. The addition of double glass doors to the exterior wall allowed for the deck to be connected to the entertaining space. Small shelves were built in opposite corners of the room, across from the bar, to allow people to place drinks and food without having to use the pool table. Connected to the bar room in an unfinished part of the basement Archway designed a bedroom, wine cellar, full bathroom and a mixed use room for an office and gym.  In the wine cellar the shelves were custom built for the room and with the addition of granite counter-tops and a beautiful tile back-splash  selected by the homeowner. The wine cellar was topped off with a sink and water sprayer, dishwasher and a wine fridge.
